Poverty Simulations Change People

After people take part in poverty simulations, their hearts and minds are changed. Here’s how it works.

Poverty simulations begin when you assume the identity of a poor person in a specific circumstance and, in the span of about three hours, you live a month of simulated time as you face obstacles and try to survive. Poverty simulations started in the nursing community, but now they’re being done for people working in many different fields.

The testimonials below are from people who participated in a poverty simulation through an organization called Vigilant Hope.
