My whole life has been a balancing act between wanting to know ‘where am I, who am I, where’s the next meal coming from?’ — basic mammalian concerns, but also very strong social concerns — and then the desire to let all that fall away and simply be open to more and more. Because so much true knowledge comes to us when we’re not imposing an already existing self between us and our own experience of everything else and everyone else.
